Our Story

Great stories have a purpose. ASIFUNDE CHOMMIE was born from witnessing countless South African learners struggle — not because they lack intelligence or drive, but because information is presented in ways that create unnecessary barriers. We saw talented students miss opportunities simply because they couldn't decode the language of their exam papers, not the concepts themselves. This wasn't a learning problem. It was an access problem. And we knew we had to fix it.

Great stories are for everyone, even when only written for just one person. We started by thinking about that one learner — the Grade 10 student in a township school who understands Newton's Laws perfectly in isiZulu but freezes when the exam question uses complex English phrasing. When we designed for that student's genuine need, we created something genuine for thousands of others. If it works for one, it works for all. That's the power of solving real problems for real people.

Our story is built on a simple truth: when learners understand, they thrive. We offer Grades 8-12 Mathematics and Physical Sciences in multiple South African languages because we believe education should open doors, not close them. Beyond just passing exams, we guide learners toward STEM careers with lower unemployment rates — engineering, health sciences, technology — showing them how today's algebra becomes tomorrow's opportunity.
